Welcome to my random thoughts, scribbles and lessons learned.

It is frightening when you are told you have cancer. It is a hard word to digest.

If you are reading this please know that it is okay to feel whatever you are feeling. It takes a while to comprehend this diagnosis. Statistics show that almost all people have a family member, friend or colleague that has been told they have cancer. If not, then you have seen people in the news, the entertainment world, etc. that have faced their own cancer challenge. It doesn't matter. This is your challenge and right now it is okay to feel whatever you are feeling.

Here are a couple of things to keep in mind as you read my posts: Cancer is a word not a sentence. It shouldn't define who you are. It is okay to share experiences but don't compare. Each person is different and so are their cancers, stages, reactions and circumstances. Share but don't compare.

You may want to start with the September post and work your way back to the most current post. No matter how you choose to read the information, I hope you find it useful and encouraging. All posts are archived. The labels indicate the topic.

Please feel free to add your comments. Note that the comment section contains reader's thoughts and don't necessarily reflect my opinion.

If you prefer to send me an e-mail about your experience having chemo, cancer in general, or as a care taker, my e-mail address is mzdavinci@aol.com Please write "chemo blog" in the subject line.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope you enjoy your day.
